Test your interdisciplinary science knowledge from earth sciences to astronomy, from scientific method to environmental science on an international stage from national qualifiers to the Global Tour.
The Atlantia International Science Olympiad is an international academic competition that aims to develop students' passion for science, interdisciplinary thinking capacity, and scientific research competencies.
The competition covers a wide range of topics from earth sciences to astronomy, from scientific method to environmental science. Participants have the opportunity to demonstrate a holistic scientific perspective that combines multiple scientific disciplines.
Organized in a multi-stage format, the olympiad begins with national qualifying rounds and successful candidates compete with peers worldwide in the Global Tour. Successful students may earn academic scholarships, university admission advantages, and international exchange program opportunities.

Exam questions are prepared from the following six core areas of science.
Geology, mineralogy, plate tectonics, volcanism, earthquakes, rock cycle and Earth's internal structure.
Solar system, stellar evolution, galaxies, cosmology, celestial mechanics and observational astronomy.
Hypothesis formation, experiment design, variable control, data collection, analysis and scientific reporting.
Climate change, biodiversity loss, water cycle, carbon cycle and sustainable development.
Intersection points between physics, chemistry and biology; energy transformations and materials science.
Scientific graph reading, statistical evaluation, error analysis and experimental result interpretation.
National-level assessment with 20 original science questions prepared on the basis of standard deviation.
Questions are prepared according to Bloom's Taxonomy, covering the stages of knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.
No scoring system is applied; results are announced based on percentile ranking. Students who achieve above the 50th percentile qualify for the Global Tour.
The exam includes multiple question types and measures comprehensive science knowledge.
Questions that measure conceptual understanding of fundamental concepts and principles in the sciences.
Analysis questions requiring interdisciplinary solutions based on real-world scenarios.
Four-option multiple choice questions designed for rapid conceptual assessment.
Questions requiring graph, table and experimental data interpretation with scientific analysis.
Participants may choose one of the following exam languages.
Students who pass the 1st Round National Qualifying Exam earn the right to participate in the Global Tour.
To participate, students must pass the 1st Round and be included in the international participation package organized by Atlantia International.
Prepared with the same methodology as the national round, standardized on an international level with 20 questions.
Earn scholarships or direct university admission support. Gain the right to attend an 8-week English academic program at Italian universities, recognized as academic credit.
Earn the right to participate in international student exchange programs. Gain academic, cultural and social experience in different countries.
Students participating in the Global Tour are required to obtain the official participation package prepared by Atlantia International.
Additional services (city tours, cultural excursions) may be added optionally.
